Named after the guard,
not the king
護衛武士 (호위무사) is a modern Korean word — it does not appear in the Joseon records. The offices that do are 內禁衛 내금위, 兼司僕 겸사복, 羽林衛 우림위 and 別雲劍 별운검: the men who stood a pace behind, saw everything, and were never the story. Korea coined the word afterwards because it needed one for what they were.

When does my order ship?
This is a pre-order. Units ship from 15 November 2026 and are dispatched from Korea. You will get a tracking number by email the day it leaves.
Can I cancel a pre-order?
Yes. A pre-order can be cancelled for a full refund any time before it is dispatched. Nothing is final until the parcel moves.
What is an all-in-one, exactly?
It replaces the toner, lotion and essence steps with one product. Cleanse, apply one layer, done. This is a single-step essence.
Do I still need a toner and a lotion?
No. Replacing them is the entire point. Put the three bottles away and use one layer of this after cleansing instead.
How much should I use, and how?
An appropriate amount into your palm, spread evenly across face and neck along the skin texture, then press in with your palms rather than rubbing. Morning and night, about ten seconds each time.
Can I use it after shaving?
Yes — that is one of the moments it is built for. Apply it while the skin is still slightly damp, straight after you rinse.
Will it feel greasy or sticky?
The texture is lightweight and built to absorb without leaving a film, which is what makes it workable in humid weather. From the Korean reviews: “I have oily skin and this does NOT add extra grease. Absorbs fast in humid weather.”
Does it have a strong scent?
No heavy fragrance. Korean customers put it more bluntly: “No old-man scent at all. Smells clean and fresh.”
My skin is oily, dry or sensitive. Is it suitable?
It is supplied as suitable for all skin types, and the Korean reviews include both oily and sensitive skin — “Zero irritation on my sensitive skin. Texture is just right, not heavy, not watery.” Patch test first with any new product, and discontinue use if irritation occurs.
Can I put sunscreen over it?
Yes. Give it about a minute to settle, then apply sunscreen as usual.
